Businessman Raj Kundra May Face Money Laundering And Foreign Exchange Violation Charges Also
Businessman Raj Kundra, husband of Shilpa Shetty, was arrested on Monday (July 19) for allegedly creating and publishing pornographic content via apps. He is now in judicial custody and will remain so until July 27, according to the state. Meanwhile, Raj Kundra has appealed his arrest in the Bombay High Court. And now, as per the latest developments, Kundra may face charges of money laundering and currency violation. According to a report by the Hindustan Times, the Enforcement Directorate is likely to investigate the case.

Nouakchott news agency reported that the Central Agency has the authority to investigate cases of financial fraud. The ED may also issue citations for Raj Kundra against PMLA and FEMA. Meanwhile, the Mumbai crime branch alleged that Raj Kundra was making money from illegal content posted on the apps by charging subscription fees. The Mumbai police also expressed doubts in court and alleged that Kundra was using the money for gambling. The ED will also investigate the same. The Hindustan Times report also claims that the director of industries at VIA may be summoned for questioning. It is also said that Shilpa Shetty may also receive a summon as she was one of the directors of Viaan Industries until 2020. Meanwhile, a source close to Shilpa Shetty released a statement from the actress regarding the entire controversy, according to a report in TOI. .
